Greenbuild 2009, held in Phoenix Ariz. was a huge success drawing over 28,000 attendees worldwide.  Kicking off events with a keynote speech from former Vice-President and Nobel Laureate, Al Gore, Greenbuild was hugely successful.  The event also included a performance by nine-time Grammy^® award-winner, Sheryl Crow. 

Presented during the Greebuild Expo, Rheem was awarded the 2009 Top 10 Green Building Products award for the HP-50 Heat-Pump Water Heater by BuildingGreen, LLC.  The award recognizes products listed over the past year in BuildingGreen's product directory, GreenSpec^®, or covered in Environmental Building News magazine.  The new HP-50 Heat Pump Water Heater, which meets the qualifications for an EnergyStar^® listing, offers an Energy Factor (EF) of 2.0, or more than twice the energy efficiency of a standard electric storage water heater.
